Friday, July 11, 2008 – updated: 2:10 pm EDT July 11, 2008

Troy police are looking for a woman who threw a perfume bottle at another driver during an alleged road-rage incident, Detroit television station WDIV reported.

Police: Perfume Bottle Thrown In Road Rage

The attack happened near Maple and John R roads in the Detroit suburb. Police said it began when a man cut off the woman. She got so mad, she followed that man, threatened to shoot him and then threw a bottle of Jennifer Lopez perfume at his driver's side window, he said.

"He thought he was shot at. He had his 70-year-old mom in the car. If this thing would have hit somebody in the head it could have been extremely dangerous," said Lt. Gerry Scherlink of the Troy Police Department.

The woman is described as black and about 30 years old. She has long, dark curly hair and was driving a dark blue Chrysler Pacifica. Witnesses said her license plate had the letters BQM.

If charged she could face malicious destruction of property and assault charges.
