Dr. Ronald J. Leeper is the president of R.J. Leeper Construction Company in Charlotte, North Carolina, a privately-owned, African-American construction services company, serving as a general contractor and construction manager.

During Leeper's ten years of service in public office in Charlotte (City Council Member), he developed a keen knowledge of community concerns and a strong awareness of community needs that now enhance R.J. Leeper’s ability to better serve the total Charlotte Community.

Leeper has founded many organizations to help guide the youth, leaders, and future leaders of his community. He is the founder of Focus on Leadership, Focus on Future Leaders, and Save the Seed, a youth mentoring program.

In 2004, Leeper received his Honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from Livingston College.
