Murray, KY -- (Sports Network) - Bruce Carter notched a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds, as the second-seeded Murray State Racers survived the seventh-seeded Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, 77-74, in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament at the Regional Special events Center Kevin Thomas and Ray George added 14 points apiece for MSU (18-12), which will take on Tennessee State in the semifinals on Friday. TTU (13-19) received a game-high 26 points and eight assists from Anthony Fisher in the setback. Daniel Northern recorded a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Golden Eagles, while Amadi McKenzie and Rashaud Nixon chipped in with 12 and 11 points, respectively. The Racers connected on 51.6 percent of their shots from the floor in the first frame, taking a 40-39 lead at the break. MSU knocked down 9-of-15 free-throws in the second period to capture the three- point victory. The Racers shot 46.0 percent from the floor and they recorded 11 steals in the win.
