Hasheem Thabeet scored 21 points, hauled in 18
rebounds and had four blocks to help the No. 2 Connecticut Huskies fend off
the Buffalo Bulls, 68-64, at Alumni Arena. Jeff Adrien poured in 18 points,
grabbed seven boards and doled out four assists for the Huskies (8-0),
who will next play Stony Brook at home on December 15. Craig Austrie
chipped in 10 points in the win. Rodney Pierce had a game-high 28 points
for the Bulls (3-3), who will host Florida International on Saturday. Max
Boudreau was the only other Bull in double figures, with 10 points.
