NCAA Game Summary - California At Ohio State

Columbus, OH -- (Sports Network) - Jamar Butler scored a game-high 20 points to lead the top-seeded Ohio State Buckeyes to a 73-56 win over the fourth-seeded California Golden Bears in second-round action of the NIT at Value City Arena. Kosta Koufos added 17 points for the Buckeyes (21-13), who will now face off against Dayton in the quarterfinals of the tournament later this week. Othello Hunter tallied 11 points and a game-high 16 rebounds in the victory. California (17-16) was paced by Jerome Randle who scored 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the floor. Ryan Anderson added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Golden Bears. OSU jumped all over the Golden Bears in the first half, shooting 46.7 percent from the floor, to take a 35-23 lead at the break. The Buckeyes kept the pressure on in the second stanza, leading by as many as 25 points by shooting 15-of-28 from the field, en route to the 17-point victory. OSU was tenacious at the defensive end of the floor, turning 16 Cal turnovers into 20 points.
