NCAA Game Summary - Florida At Arizona State

Tempe, AZ -- (Sports Network) - Walter Hodge posted 18 points and seven assists to lead the second-seeded Florida Gators to a 70-57 victory over the top- seeded Arizona State Sun Devils in the quarterfinal round of the NIT. Chandler Parsons netted 15 points off the bench for Florida (24-11), which advances to the semifinal round of the NIT for the third time in school history. The Gators are set to collide with UMass, also seeded second. James Harden scored 18 points in the loss for Arizona State (21-13), which got 14 points from Jeff Pendergraph. Florida connected on 61.9 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half en route to a 35-29 lead at intermission. The Gators shot nearly as well over the final 20 minutes, as a 59.1 percent effort in the second half sealed the victory. Marreese Speights contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds for Florida. Nick Calathes had 11 points and nine assists for the Gators, and the standout freshman guard only committed one turnover in the clash.
