(Sports Network) - James Mays scored 15 points and pulled down six rebounds as Clemson crushed Boston College 82-48, in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament.

Raymond Sykes added 12 points for the third-seeded Tigers (23-8), who have won two straight games and now move on to face Duke in the semifinals on Saturday. The Blue Devils downed Georgia Tech earlier on Friday.

K.C. Rivers chipped in with 11 points and four steals for Clemson.

Tyrese Rice finished with 15 points for the 11th-seeded Eagles (14-17), who had halted a six-game skid by knocking off Maryland, 71-68, in the first round of the tourney.

After falling behind 6-0, Clemson took control of the game with an impressive 19-0 run. Rivers sparked the burst with a layup and Cliff Hammonds capped it with a layin of his own to make it a 19-6 game with 13:20 left in the half.

The Tigers continued to play well from there and led by as 24 points, 42-18, after a Sykes fastbreak dunk with just over two minutes remaining in the period.

The Eagles recovered a bit from there and scored the final seven points of the half, but still trailed 42-25 going in the locker room.

The rout was on in the second half. Trevor Booker deposited a layup to start the stanza and Rivers followed with a three to push Clemson's cushion past 20 points again, 47-25.

Boston College never got on track from there and the Tigers just kept pulling away.

Consecutive dunks by Jerai Grant ignited the crowd and put Clemson up by 33, 77-44 with just 2:37 remaining. The Tigers cruised to the finish line from there.
