Lubbock, TX -- (Sports Network) - Texas Tech coach Bob Knight surpassed the legendary Adolph Rupp for second on the Division I all-time wins list, as the Red Raiders cruised to a 98-64 victory over Centenary at United Spirit Arena.

Knight earned his 877th career victory and is now just two shy of matching Dean Smith's all-time record of 879 wins. The Red Raiders will not play again until next Saturday at Arkansas, then will play home games against Bucknell on December 23 and UNLV on December 28.

Jarrius Jackson led Texas Tech (8-3) with 25 points, while Charlie Burgess hit all nine of his shots and finished with 20.

The Red Raiders shot a blistering 62.5 percent from the field and hit 11-of-18 three-point tries.

Tyrone Hamilton scored 25 points to lead Centenary (4-5).
