(Sports Network) - Ade Dagunduro shot 6-of-8 from the floor and finished with a game-high 15 points, as the Nebraska Cornhuskers cruised to a 67-48 win over the Charlotte 49ers in first-round action of the NIT.

Jay-R Strowbridge chipped in with 10 points off the bench for the Cornhuskers (20-12), who advance to face Ole Miss in the second round. Aleks Maric also made a solid contribution, with nine points, 10 rebounds and five assists in the win.

Lamont Mack paced Charlotte (20-14) with 13 points, while Charlie Coley finished with 12 points and eight boards.

Charlotte struggled from the floor in the opening half, shooting just 8-of-26, which paved the way for Nebraska to grab a 33-21 halftime lead.

Things didn't get any better for the 49ers in the second stanza, as they connected on just 9-of-28 field goals. Nebraska put the game away by burying five three-pointers in the frame, in addition to holding an 11-5 scoring edge at the charity stripe.

Charlotte was plagued mostly by spotty three-point shooting throughout the contest, as they went just 6-of-29 from beyond the arc.
