NCAA Game Summary - Chicago State Vs. Northern Michigan

East Lansing, MI -- (Sports Network) - David Holston scored a game-high 39 points and dished out seven assists, as Chicago State beat Northern Michigan, 89-50, in the consolation game of the East Lansing Regional of the CBE Classic. Holston shot a scorching 11-of-13 from beyond the arc and John Cantrell netted 21 points for Chicago State (1-2), which lost 86-53 to Michigan State in the opening round on Tuesday. Carl Montgomery pulled down eight boards and Christian Wall contributed seven points, three assists and three steals off the bench. Tyler Kazmierkoski had a team-high 18 points and seven rebounds for the Wildcats (0-2), who were eliminated by Louisiana-Monroe, 60-53, on Tuesday. Jerard Ajami added 10 points in the loss. The Cougars had a 41-30 lead at the break, but Northern Michigan come out strong in the early stages of the second, going on a 16-5 spurt to tie the score, 46-46. However, Chicago State outscored the Wildcats 43-4 the rest of the way to blow the game open. Chicago State shot 56.9 percent (33-of-58) from the floor compared to the Wildcats dismal 31.8 percent (21-of-66).
