Santa Clara, CA -- (Sports Network) - Maureece Rice scored 15 points to lead the George Washington Colonials to a 75-42 victory over the Colgate Raiders in the consolation game of the Cable Car Classic. Dokun Akingbade added 11 points and collected 10 rebounds for George Washington (8-3), while Regis Koundija also tallied 11 points to go along with eight boards. Noel Wilmore came off the bench to post 10 points in the win. Kendall Chones was the only player with double-figures for Colgate, as the forward netted 12 points in the loss. The Colonials used solid defense in the opening frame, holding Colgate to a dismal 22.2 percent shooting effort from the field and took a commanding, 38-16 lead into the break. In the second stanza, GWU shot a solid 53.8 percent from the floor en route to the 33-point victory. The Colonials netted 8-of-18 shots from behind the arc, while Colgate made just 2-of-16 attempts from long range.
