NCAA Game Summary - Cornell At Princeton

Princeton, NJ -- (Sports Network) - Behind a game-high 21 points from Louis Dale, the Cornell Big Red recorded its first-ever perfect Ivy League season with a 71-64 road win over the Princeton Tigers. The win was the Big Red's school-record 16th in a row. Ryan Wittman tallied 16 points for Cornell (22-5, 14-0 IVY), and Jason Hartford chipped in with 15 points and eight rebounds. Reserves Kareem Maddox and Nick Lake paced Princeton (6-22, 3-10) with 16 and 15 points, respectively. Kyle Koncz had 10 points and eight rebounds in a losing effort. Princeton shot just 37.9 percent from the field in the opening half, yet the Tigers managed to knock down six three-pointers and grabbed a slim, 32-31 halftime lead. Cornell woke up in the second stanza, shooting 53.3 percent from the floor. Dale broke open a three-point game with back-to-back three-pointers during one key stretch, giving Cornell a nine-point lead with 6:09 to play. Cornell took good care of the basketball by committing only eight turnovers in the game, which led to just four points for Princeton.
