NCAA Game Summary - Denver At UL-Lafayette

(Sports Network) - Chris Gradnigo poured in 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the floor to lead the UL-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns to a 58-51 victory over the Denver Pioneers in Sun Belt Conference action.

Randell Daigle pitched in 11 points off the bench for UL-Lafayette (15-14, 11-7 SBC), which earned a share of the Sun Belt Western Division crown.

Rob Lewis posted 16 points and nine rebounds in the loss for Denver (11-18, 7-11), and Joe Jackson added 10 points.

Denver held a 28-27 lead at intermission after shooting a stellar 58.8 percent from the floor in the first half.

The key to the win for UL-Lafayette was that it outscored the Pioneers 8-1 from the foul line over the final 20 minutes.

The Ragin' Cajuns forced 19 turnovers, seven more than they committed.
