King Transfers To Villanova

Tuesday, June 3, 2008

(Sports Network) - Forward Taylor King has decided to transfer to Villanova and will sit out the 2008-09 campaign, the school announced on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-6 King, from Huntington Beach, California, saw action in all 34 games in 2007-08 with Duke, averaging 5.9 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. He made 43-of-115 three-pointers last season.

"We are thrilled to have Taylor King join our Villanova basketball family," stated Villanova head coach Jay Wright. "We recruited Taylor out of high school and believe his year at Duke was an excellent learning experience for him. He will add great passion and personality to our team and campus."

King will be eligible to play in college for three years beginning in the 2009-10 season.
