NCAA Game Summary - Tennessee Tech At East Tennessee State

Johnson City, TN -- (Sports Network) - Kevin Tiggs and Travis Strong each tallied 20 points, as the East Tennessee State Buccaneers outlasted the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, 88-80, as part of a BracketBuster series. Tiggs recorded three steals and Strong went 6-of-12 from downtown, as ETSU (16-12) improved to 11-2 at home. Courtney Pigram turned in 15 points and six boards off the bench, while Kenyona Swader registered a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds in the win. Daniel Northern notched a double-double with a game-high 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Eagles (12-18), who were defeated for the third straight time. Amadi McKenzie logged a double-double of his own with 17 points and 13 boards, while Rashaud Nixon and Anthony Fisher chipped in with 12 and 11 points, respectively. The Bucs connected on 9-of-18 shots from three-point range and 6-of-8 at the foul line and they held a 51-39 lead at the half. In the second stanza, ETSU shot 46.7 percent from the floor, as it held on for the eight-point victory. For the game, ETSU went 12-of-26 from beyond the arc, while Tennessee Tech made just 4-of-20 attempts from the same distance.
