NCAA Game Summary - Austin Peay At Eastern Kentucky

Richmond, KY -- (Sports Network) - Ernest Fields scored 16 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead the Austin Peay Governors to a 65-59 win over the Eastern Kentucky Colonels in an Ohio Valley Conference showdown at McBrayer Arena. Derek Wright also added 14 points for the Governors (20-10, 15-4 OVC), while Todd Babington chipped in with 12 points in the win. EKU (14-14, 10-9) was paced by Mike Rose, who scored 19 points in the loss. Adam Leonard also added 11 points, while Josh Taylor chipped in with 10 points. APSU got off to a quick start, shooting 47.8 percent from the field in the first half, to take a 32-31 lead at the break. The Governors kept the pressure on in the second stanza, shooting 5-of-14 from three-point range to secure the six-point victory. Foul shooting was the difference in the contest, as the Governors outscored the Colonels 11-5 from the charity stripe.
