NCAA Game Summary - Tennessee State At Eastern Kentucky

Richmond, KY -- (Sports Network) - Bruce Price logged a team-high 20 points, six assists and five rebounds as the Tennessee State Tigers cruised to an 89-70 victory over the Eastern Kentucky Colonels in an Ohio Valley Conference tilt at McBrayer Arena. The Tigers (13-16, 10-10 OVC) also got solid efforts out of Jerrell Houston and Gerald Robinson, who netted 19 and 18 points, respectively. LaDarious Weaver connected on 4-of-7 from behind the arc to account for all 12 of his points in the win. Adam Leonard hit four three-pointers, while leading Eastern Kentucky (14-15, 10-10) with 20 points. Darnell Dialls contributed 15 points, and Mike Rose added 13 in defeat. The game was competitive for the first 20 minutes, as both squads drained six three-pointers in the back-and-forth contest. Tennessee State hit two more field goals than the Colonels to take a slim 38-37 edge into the locker room. The bout got out of hand in the second frame, with the Tigers hitting another six triples and sinking 61.5 percent from the field in the lopsided 19-point final. Tennessee State's bench played a big role in the Tigers' victory by outscoring their counterparts, 26-9.
