NCAA Game Summary - Northern Illinois At Eastern Michigan

Ypsilanti, MI -- (Sports Network) - Carlos Medlock scored a game-high 23 points, leading four players in double figures, as the Eastern Michigan Eagles posted an 82-63 win over the Northern Illinois Huskies in Mid-American Conference action at the Convocation Center. Justin Dobbins added 20 points and six rebounds off the bench for the Eagles (13-16, 8-8 MAC) as they closed out the regular season with three wins in four tries. Jesse Bunkley added 11 points and Jarred Axon 10 in the victory. The Huskies (6-21, 3-12), losers of four straight since resuming their schedule in late February, were led by Shaun Logan with 20 points and seven boards, followed by Darion Anderson and Sean Smith with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Both teams shot just over 48 percent from the field in the first half, with the difference being EMU converted 7-of-14 behind the three-point line in order to take a 42-30 advantage at the break. In the second half the Eagles sealed the win by making good on 20-of-27 at the free-throw line. In addition to limiting NIU to just 4-of-20 shooting behind the three-point line, EMU also outscored the visitors at the charity stripe, 25-9, on the afternoon.
