Miami, FL -- (Sports Network) - Demetric Bennett nailed 6-of-7 three-pointers for a contest-high 30 points, as the South Alabama Jaguars romped the Florida International Golden Panthers, 74-55, in Sun Belt Conference play at Pharmed Arena. Bennett added six boards and four assists for the Jaguars (25-5, 16-2 SBC), who secured the top seed in the upcoming SBC Tournament. Brandon Davis and Ronald Douglas each chipped in with 10 points, as USA tied a school record for wins with 25. Alex Galindo scored 15 points to lead FIU (9-19, 6-12), while Tremayne Russell and Chris Fuller posted 11 and 10 points, respectively. The Jaguars took a 33-22 lead at the break courtesy of a 40.0 percent shooting effort from the floor in the first period. USA shot a blistering 63.0 percent from the field in the second stanza, as it cruised to the 19-point win. The Jaguars dominated the boards, 41-23, including a 14-3 advantage on the offensive glass.
