Richmond, VA -- (Sports Network) - Dan Geriot and Kevin Anderson poured in 14 points apiece to help the Richmond Spiders to a 58-53 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over the Fordham Rams at the Robins Center. David Gonzalvez chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds for the Spiders (16-12, 9-6 A-10), winners of four of their last six games. Brenton Butler paced Fordham (11-16, 5-10) with 19 points and seven rebounds, though he was the only double-digit scorer for the Rams. Sebastian Greene pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds to go along with his six points. Richmond was ice-cold in the first half, shooting just 8-of-26 (30.8 percent) from the floor, as the visitors grabbed a 29-21 halftime lead. But Fordham struggled from the field in the second half and went 0-for-10 from beyond the arc, while the Spiders connected on 55 percent of their second-half field goals. Richmond also went 13-of-15 from the foul line in the period. The Rams played solid defense throughout the contest but struggled to put the ball in the basket. They had just nine points at the charity stripe, and went 6-of-21 from the perimeter.
