Washington, D.C. -- (Sports Network) - Massachusetts finished regular-season play in top form, as the Minutemen took care of Atlantic 10 foe George Washington, 67-63, behind 20 points apiece from Gary Forbes and Ricky Harris. UMass (21-9, 10-6 A10) closed out its schedule with a six-game win streak. Etienne Brower assisted the top scorers by recording 17 points and 10 rebounds in the winning cause. Damian Hollis put together a double-double of his own with 20 points and 11 rebounds in George Washington's (9-17, 5-11) third straight loss. Noel Wilmore came off the bench to log 10 points and five rebounds, while fellow reserve Wynton Witherspoon dished out a game-high eight assists. UMass did most of its damage from behind the arc in the first half, hitting 8- of-17 from three-point range while taking a slim 33-31 lead to intermission. The lead exchanged hands 11 times in the final period, as the Minutemen made their free throws down the stretch to seal the four-point win. The difference in the contest was the Minutemen's ability to hit the trifecta, as they hit 14-of-30 from downtown, while the Colonials drained just 4-of-11 from the same distance.
