Statesboro, GA -- (Sports Network) - Stephen Curry poured in a contest-best 35 points, as the Davidson Wildcats cruised past the Georgia Southern Eagles, 89-69, in a Southern Conference tussle at Hanner Fieldhouse. Curry drilled 7-of-9 three-pointers and dolled out four helpers, as Davidson (23-6, 20-0 SoCon) extended the longest winning streak in the nation to 19 games. Boris Meno posted 16 points and nine boards, while Jason Richards had a double-double with 12 points and the same amount of assists. Dwayne Foreman and Anthony Marshall tallied 15 points apiece for Georgia Southern (20-11, 13-7), which dropped its third game in a row. Julian Allen added 12 points and six boards, and Matthew Fields logged 10 points and three steals in the setback. Davidson drained 4-of-11 attempts from three-point range and 8-of-12 at the foul line, as it owned a 42-35 edge at the half. The Wildcats shot a blistering 72.7 percent from the floor in the second stanza, as they cruised to the 20-point victory. For the game, Davidson connected on 55.4 percent of its chances from the floor and 9-of-19 from downtown.
