Chestnut Hill, MA -- (Sports Network) - Jeremis Smith recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds as he helped lead the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to an 86-78 win over the Boston College Eagles in ACC play at Silvio O. Conte Forum. Zack Peacock added 18 points off the bench and Lewis Clinch 10 in a reserve role as the Yellow Jackets (14-16, 7-9 ACC) won their second in a row and the third in the last four games. Tyrese Rice and Corey Raji both tallied 17 points for Boston College (13-16, 4-12) in their sixth consecutive setback. Rakim Sanders added 14 points and seven rebounds and Josh Southern 13 points and five boards off the bench. Tech made just 6-of-11 shots at the free-throw line in the first half, but thanks to a 6-of-11 effort beyond the arc the visitors managed to post a slim 38-37 advantage at the break. The Yellow Jackets came out in the second half on fire, converting a sizzling 70.8 percent from the floor, en route to the eight-point win. BC hit on 52.8 percent from the field on the afternoon, but the team's 21 turnovers resulted in 30 points for the visitors.
