GAME NOTES: Although the Ivy League title has already been decided, the Brown Bears will try to continue their strong play when they battle the Harvard Crimson tonight at Lavietes Pavilion in Cambridge. Other than Cornell, the Bears have been the toughest team in the Ivy this year, and come into this game with a strong 9-3 mark in league play. Brown has won eight of its last nine games, including back-to-back victories over Princeton (64-57) and Penn (75-43). As for the Crimson, they are at the opposite end of the spectrum, posting a pathetic 3-9 record in conference. Harvard has dropped nine of its last 11 games, and that includes two straight losses to Columbia (61-54) and Cornell (86-53). The majority of Harvard's success has come at home, as the team has posted seven of its eight victories at Lavietes Pavilion. Harvard has an 85-72 lead in the all-time series, but Brown defeated the Crimson earlier this season in a 71-51 verdict.

The Bears were outstanding in their recent victory over Penn, especially on offense as the team shot a stellar 63.6 percent from the field, while also connecting on 6-of-13 shots from long range. Brown committed just eight turnovers in the contest, and goaded the Quakers into 17 miscues, which led to 25 points. Mark McAndrew, who leads the team with 16.8 ppg, paced the Bears in the win over Penn, scoring 16 points to go with six rebounds. Peter Sullivan also added 16 points, while Damon Huffman and Scott Friske contributed 14 and 13 points, respectively. Huffman has also played well this year for Brown, and is currently netting 14.7 ppg. As a team, the Bears are producing 68.1 ppg behind 46.4 percent shooting from the floor.

Simply put, Harvard was awful the last time the team took the floor, as Cornell pounded the Crimson in an 86-53 final. Harvard shot a woeful 24.2 percent from the field, and made only 5-of-21 attempts from behind the arc. Brad Unger was the only player to finish in double figures for the Crimson, as the forward posted 10 points. As for the team's leading scorer and assist man, Jeremy Lin (12.5 ppg and 97 assists), he struggled in going just 2-of-8 from the floor to end up with just six points. Drew Housman, who is netting 10.9 ppg for Harvard this season, also had trouble against Cornell, connecting on a mere 2-of-9 attempts for nine points. Harvard has had trouble offensively all year and is averaging 68.9 ppg.

The Crimson have been dreadful this season and should continue to struggle against a Brown squad that is playing extremely well.

Predicted Outcome

Brown 77, Harvard 63
