High Point, NC -- (Sports Network) - High Point University has named Craig Keilitz as the new athletic director, the school announced at a press conference on Wednesday.

Keilitz was formerly the associate athletic director at Wake Forest. He served in a variety of positions at Wake Forest since first starting as the assistant athletic director for compliance in 1996.

"Mr. Keilitz will be instrumental in promoting academic and athletic excellence at High Point University," said High Point president Nido Quebin. "We welcome him to the HPU family."

Keilitz will begin his duties on February 1.
