NCAA Game Summary - IUPUI Vs. USC-Upstate

Fairbanks, AK -- (Sports Network) - Gary Patterson scored 18 points to lead the IUPUI Jaguars to an 80-54 victory over the USC-Upstate Spartans in second round action of the BP Top of the World Classic. George Hill added 17 points for IUPUI (2-2), while Jon Avery and Austin Montgomery both contributed double-figures, netting 15 and 13 points, respectively. Bobby Davis was the lone player with double-figures for USC-Upstate (0-3), as the forward tallied 12 points to go along with 10 rebounds. The Jags shot 57.7 percent from the field in the opening half and went into the break with a commanding, 47-28 lead. In the second stanza the Jags used tremendous defense, holding the Spartans to a meager 29.2 percent shooting effort from the floor en route to the 26-point win. The Jaguars scored 22 points off 14 USC-Upstate turnovers, while the Spartans netted just five points off 10 IUPUI miscues.
