NCAA Game Summary - IUPUI At Alaska

Fairbanks, AK -- (Sports Network) - George Hill scored a season-high 26 points as IUPUI captured a resounding 82-47 win over the Nanooks from Alaska in final round action of the Top of the World Classic at the Carlson Center. Hill, who shot 9-of-12 from the field and collected nine rebounds for the Jaguars (3-2), went over the 1,000 point mark for his career. Also scoring in double figures for the Jags were Gary Patterson and Austin Montgomery with 16 points apiece, followed by Leroy Noble with 10. The Nanooks (3-2) were paced by Mladen Begojevic who tallied 15 points, while DeRay Carger contributed 11 points but shot just 4-of-12 from the field. While IUPUI was making good on a sizzling 61.8 percent from the floor in the first half, including 7-of-14 beyond the arc, Alaska was converting a mere 4- of-19 from the field, en route to a 50-21 score at the break. The Jaguars cooled down to only 38.1 percent from the field in the second half, but still had enough of a lead to cruise to the 35-point victory. IUPUI finished the contest shooting 52.7 percent from the field and won the battle of the boards 41-23, allowing the Nanooks to collect just seven offensive rebounds.
