Las Vegas, NV -- (Sports Network) - Joe Zeglinski scored 15 points to lead the Hartford Hawks to a 73-57 victory over the Jackson State Tigers in the third round of the Las Vegas Invitational. Warren McLendon added 14 points for Hartford (2-4), while Michael Turner contributed 12 points and Morgan Sabia came off the bench to chip in 10 points. Grant Maxey paced Jackson State (0-5) with 14 points, while Catraiva Givens tallied 13 points and Darrion Griffin added 10 in the losing effort. Despite shooting 52.0 percent from the field in the opening half the Tigers went into the break on the wrong end of a 38-32 score. The Hawks used tenacious defense in the second stanza, holding Jackson State to a pathetic 29.6 percent shooting effort from the floor en route to the 16-point win. Hartford won the battle on the glass, 36-34, and also forced the Tigers into 15 turnovers.
