Tention Resigns As Loyola Marymount Head Coach

Wednesday, March 12, 2008

(Sports Network) - Loyola Marymount University announced the resignation of men's head basketball coach Rodney Tention on Wednesday after three lackluster seasons.

"We would like to thank Rodney Tention and his staff for his commitment, outstanding efforts and we wish them the very best," said LMU director of athletics William Husak.

Tention posted a 30-61 record in three seasons at LMU, including a dismal 5-26 mark in 2007 that was coupled with a 2-12 record in the West Coast Conference. Prior to be tabbed by Loyola Marymount, Tention spent the previous eight years as an assistant under Lute Olson at Arizona.
