NCAA Game Summary - Loyola-Maryland At Marist

(Sports Network) - Ben Farmer scored 20 points to lead the Marist Red Fixes to an 82-64 victory over the Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tussle at the McCann Center.

Spongy Benjamin added 17 points and 13 rebounds for Marist (7-13, 11-7 MAAC), while David Devezin contributed 14 points. Jay Gavin tallied 13 points, while Ryan Stilphen chipped in 10 points and pulled down nine rebounds for Marist, which has won two consecutive games.

Marquis Sullivan netted 20 points for Loyola-MD (18-13, 12-6), while Michael Tuck and Gerald Brown chipped in 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Marist held Loyola to a mere 36.7 percent shooting effort from the field in the first half and went into the break with a 38-32 lead.

The Red Foxes pulled away in the second stanza, shooting 51.9 percent from the field, while also connecting on 7-of-13 attempts from long range en route to the 18-point win.

Marist made 19-of-29 shots from the foul line, while Loyola connected on just 8-of-13 attempts from the charity stripe.
