Albany, NY -- (Sports Network) - David Devezin scored 14 points to pace the sixth-seeded Marist Red Foxes in a 66-62 upset of the third-seeded Niagara Purple Eagles in the quarterfinal round of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament at the Times Union Center. Devezin went 6-of-16 from the field for Marist (18-13), which will take on second-seeded Rider in the semifinals on Sunday. Ben Farmer posted 13 points and seven rebounds, and Jay Gavin had 11 points in the winning cause. Charron Fisher posted game highs of 23 points and 16 rebounds to lead Niagara (19-10), while Tyrone Lewis finished with 21 points and five rebounds. Despite shooting just 33.3 percent from the floor in the opening half, the Eagles were able to take a 27-26 lead into the break. In the second half, Marist shot 40.7 percent from the field and used a 15- of-20 effort at the foul line to secure the four-point victory. The game was decided at the charity stripe, where the Red Foxes outscored Niagara by an 18-8 margin.
