Las Cruces, NM -- (Sports Network) - JaVale McGee scored 22 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked four shots, leading the second-seeded Nevada Wolf Pack to a 64-57 win over the seventh-seeded Fresno State Bulldogs in quarterfinal action of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament at the Pan American Center. Marcelus Kemp added 12 points and nine rebounds for the Wolf Pack (21-10), who defeated Fresno State just five days ago to earn a share of the regular season WAC title. Demarshay Johnson finished with 11 points and seven boards. Alex Blair came off the bench to pace Fresno State (13-19) with 14 points and eight boards. Kevin Bell and Eddie Miller scored 11 points apiece, while Dwight O'Neil grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds. Fresno State endured a brutal first half, shooting just 8-of-31 from the floor, as Nevada jumped out to a 31-19 lead. The Bulldogs led by as many as 13 four minutes into the second half, but Nevada responded with a 10-2 run to cut the deficit to five. A jumper by Fresno State's Brandon Webster made it a 49-46 game with 9:29 to play, but the Bulldogs could draw no closer the rest of the way. Fresno State shot just 33.3 percent for the game. Nevada will square off with third-seeded New Mexico State in the semifinals Friday night at 10:30 p.m.
