New Orleans, LA -- (Sports Network) - Collin Dennis scored on a goaltending call with 3.1 seconds remaining, lifting the North Texas Mean Green to a thrilling 79-77 victory over the New Orleans Privateers in Sun Belt Conference play at the Human Performance Center. Dennis finished with a game-high 24 points for North Texas (19-10, 10-8 SBC), while Quincy Williams had a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds. Josh White chipped in with 13 points, and Ben Bell had 12 in the winning effort. Bo McCalebb led the charge for New Orleans (18-12, 8-10) with 23 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Kyndall Dykes and James Parlow also got into the mix, posting 14 points apiece. New Orleans grabbed a 40-37 halftime lead behind 6-of-12 shooting from long distance over the first 20 minutes of play. The Mean Green came back in the second frame and Dennis was credit with the game-winning bucket after Dykes was called for goaltending. Dykes had a chance to redeem himself, but his layup at the buzzer was no good, and North Texas escaped with the two-point win. North Texas shot 50.0 percent from the field and converted 17-of-22 free-throw attempts in the game.
