GAME NOTES: In tonight's quarterfinal round matchup of the CBI, the Ohio University Bobcats clash with the Bradley Braves at Carver Arena. The survivor of this contest will move on to the semifinals on Wednesday against an opponent still to be determined. The Bobcats clawed their way into the next stage of this tourney by outlasting Brown, 80-74, in the first round on Tuesday. It was the first postseason win since 1995 for the Ohio, which will now attempt to snap a four-game road losing streak. As for Bradley, it entertained Cincinnati in the first round of this event and escaped with a narrow 70-67 victory on Wednesday. It marked the third straight season the Braves have secured a postseason win, and they also snapped a three-game slide at the same time. In terms of the all-time series, Ohio owns a 2-1 edge over Bradley, but this is the first meeting between the two schools since the 1999-00 season.

The Bobcats shot 52.7 percent from the field and had all five starters reach double figures in their first round win over Brown last week. Jerome Tillman was one of three Ohio players to record a double-double, finishing with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Leon Williams logged 20 points and 12 rebounds and Bubba Walther had 10 points and 12 assists. Tommy Freeman chipped in with 11 points and Michael Allen rounded out the starters with 10 points. For the season, Williams nearly averages a double-double with team-highs of 16.3 ppg and 9.8 rpg and he is also shooting a scorching 61.4 percent from the field. Tillman checks in with 13.4 ppg and a solid 7.5 rpg, while Walther contributes 12.0 ppg and 3.7 apg. The Bobcats, as a whole, are turning 67.5 ppg and outrebounding their opponents by 3.0 rpg.

The Braves forced Cincinnati into 20 turnovers, scoring 23 points off those miscues in a 70-67 victory in the first round last week. Bradley shot 43.2 percent from the field in the game and sealed the win by going 26-of-31 at the foul line. Jeremy Crouch guided the team with 20 points and three steals, while Theron Wilson posted 15 points and four boards. For the season, Crouch leads the Braves in scoring (15.6 ppg) as well as steals (52) and he is also shooting 41.5 percent from three-point range. Daniel Ruffin puts forth 14.5 ppg and he has been in charge of running the show, dishing out a team-high5.7 apg. Andrew Warren chips in with 13.0 ppg, and Wilson adds 11.5 ppg and 6.3 rpg to the mix. Overall, Bradley is generating 73.2 ppg courtesy of 37.8 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

The Bobcats have the advantage in the frontcourt, but the Braves' ability to knock down the three at a high rate will counter that and help them come out on top tonight.

Predicted Outcome

Bradley 73, Ohio University 69
