Hairston's layup had the Ducks within 74-70 with 13.7 seconds left, but Rochestie went 1-of-2 from the foul line, and Porter and Leunen missed shots in the closing seconds. Eight consecutive Washington State points moved its lead to 16-5, with Cowgill's jam capping the spurt. Koprivica's free throw in the last minute of the half extended the margin to 42-22, but Oregon had the final five points of the period. Washington State's last 17-point lead was 54-37 following an Aron Baynes layup with under 14 minutes left, but Oregon responded with an ensuing 14-4 burst.
