NCAA Game Summary - Oregon State Vs. Arizona

(Sports Network) - Jordan Hill scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds, as the seventh-seeded Arizona Wildcats trounced the 10th- seeded Oregon State Beavers, 87-56, in the opening round of the Pac-10 Tournament at the Staples Center.

Jerryd Bayless and Nic Wise each tallied 15 points for Arizona (19-13), which will take on second-seeded Stanford in the quarterfinals on Thursday. Chas Budinger contributed 14 points and five assists, while Jawann McClellan had 10 points sand six boards in the victory.

Lathen Wallace led the way for Oregon State (6-25) with a game-high 19 points. Calvin Haynes chipped in with 10 points, as the Beavers suffered their 21st straight loss.

Arizona shot an unconscious 71.0 percent from the floor in the first half , as it jumped out to a commanding 59-21 lead at the break.

In the second half, the Wildcats used a 9-of-12 effort at the foul line to cruise to the 31-point triumph.

For the game, Arizona hit on 54.4 percent of its attempts from the field, while holding Oregon State to a dismal 32.8 percent shooting performance from the floor.
