Las Vegas, NV -- (Sports Network) - Ladarious Weaver scored 19 points to lead the Tennessee State Tigers to a 60-49 victory over the Prairie View A&M Panthers as part of the Las Vegas Invitational.

Clarence Matthews racked up 12 points and 11 rebounds for Tennessee State (1-2), which also got 12 boards from Courtney Bohannon.

Chris Gaines scored nine points in defeat for Prairie View A&M (1-4), which did not have a single double-digit scorer.

Tennessee State led 30-26 at intermission after limiting Prairie View A&M to 31.8 percent shooting from the floor in the first half.

The Tigers were able to hold on for the victory despite a 9-of-30 effort from the field over the final 20 minutes.

Tennessee State earned a 32-22 rebounding advantage in the clash, helping the squad overcome 22 turnovers.
