NCAA Game Summary - Savannah State At Florida

Joakim Noah scored 21 points on 10-of-10 shooting from the field to lead the second-ranked Florida Gators to a 113-62 pouncing of the Savannah State Tigers at the O'Connell Center.

Walter Hodge netted 18 and David Huertas contributed 15 points and eight rebounds for the Gators (17-0), who extended their best start in school history. Florida joins Pittsburgh and Duke as the only remaining unbeaten teams in Division I.

Javon Randolph paced the Tigers (1-18) with 22 points and eight rebounds and Joseph Flegler added 16 points in the loss, Savannah State's 18th straight after beating Wilberforce in the season opener.

Florida shot 60 percent from the floor and outrebounded the Tigers 53-27 in the one-sided affair. Savannah State connected on 32 percent of its shots and committed 17 turnovers leading to 27 Florida points.

The Tigers trailed 16-6 at the 13:43 mark on Antoine Bronner's free throws and would never get any closer.

The Gators led by 20 at the 8:52 mark, by 30 with 5:48 remaining and by 35 with under 4 1/2 minutes to play in the opening frame.

Savannah State connected on 17 percent of its shots, sinking just six field goals, and trailed 57-23 at the half. The Tigers did not reach double figures in points until 9 1/2 minutes into the game.

Florida opened the second half with a 18-5 spurt, highlighted by eight points from Noah and a pair of baskets from Al Horford to make the score 75-28.

The Gators extended its lead to 50 points on Adrian Moss' free throw with 12:51 to play.

Florida gets back to SEC play on Saturday at Tennessee...Savannah State's Terry Hill had 10 points...The Gators are tied for seventh with Wisconsin- Milwaukee in active home winning streaks with 17 victories...Florida's Corey Brewer had 11 points and seven assists...Horford had nine points and 10 boards.
