Daytona Beach, FL -- (Sports Network) - Willie Powers scored a game-high 16 points as the Georgia Southern Eagles captured a 68-55 win over the Stetson Hatters during the final round of the Glenn Wilkes Classic.

Dwayne Foreman added 11 points and seven assists for the Eagles (3-1), Julian Allen 10 points, while Louis Graham contributed a game-high 11 rebounds, nine points and six blocked shots, but was also guilty of seven turnovers.

The Hatters (1-4) were paced by Garfield Blair who tallied 13 points, Eric Diaz chipped in 11 points and A.J. Smith 10 points and five assists in the losing effort.

Although GSU made only 4-of-9 opportunities at the free-throw line in the first half, the squad limited the Hatters to just nine total field goals in the frame to take a 32-26 edge at the break.

In the second half the Eagles picked up the pace with 52.6 percent shooting from the floor and 14-of-19 at the charity stripe, en route to the 13-point triumph.

Georgia Southern outscored Stetson at the line, 18-9, and won the battle of the boards, 41-27, to help overcome 20 turnovers.
