NCAA Game Summary - Texas Southern Vs. Wofford

Las Vegas, NV -- (Sports Network) - Terry Martin and Matt Estep scored 12 points apiece, as the Wofford Terriers knocked off the Texas Southern Tigers, 63-56, as part of the Las Vegas Classic at Orleans Arena. Martin and Estep were the only double-digit scorers for the Terriers (6-4), who overcame a sluggish second half with a key 9-4 run to close out the game. Sollie Norwood scored a game-high 14 points for Texas Southern (1-10). David Burrell tallied 11 points and six rebounds in the loss. Texas Southern jumped out to a 15-8 lead, but the Terriers battled back and the teams headed to the locker room entrenched in a 34-34 halftime tie. Wofford shot just 9-of-24 from the floor in the second stanza, but the Terriers held Texas Southern to 35.7-percent shooting and secured the win with late free throws. Wofford shot 10-of-25 from three-point range, and the Terriers held an 11-2 scoring advantage at the free-throw line.
