Las Vegas, NV -- (Sports Network) - Brian Burrell poured in a game-best 20 points and ripped down eight rebounds to lead the Texas-Pan American Broncs to a 78-60 triumph over the Texas Southern Tigers in the final round of the Las Vegas Classic at Orleans Arena. Nathan Hawkins made good on 10-of-14 free-throw attempts en route to 18 points for UTPA (7-9), which snapped a five-game slide. Sollie Norwood totaled 15 points for the Tigers (1-11), who dropped their 11th game in a row. The first half was tightly contested and Texas Southern emerged with a narrow 33-32 lead. The Broncs used a 20-0 run in the second stanza to pull away for the 18-point victory. UTPA finished 1-3 in this four-game tournament, while Texas Southern failed to win a single contest.
