Curry Leads 13th-Ranked Cowboys Past Roadrunners

(Sports Network) - JamesOn Curry poured in 24 points to lead the 13th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys past Texas-San Antonio, 84-47, at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Terrel Harris and Kenny Cooper each donated 15 points for the Cowboys (13-1), who rebounded from a two-point loss to Tennessee in their last game.

Mario Boggan added a double-double for Oklahoma State with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Melvin Smith netted a team-high 16 points for the Roadrunners (4-9), who have lost three straight. Keith Spencer was Texas-San Antonio's only other player in double figures with 10 points. Spencer also grabbed 11 rebounds in the loss.

Leading by four points in the first half, the Cowboys ripped off an 18-4 run to take a 42-24 lead into halftime. Cooper and Boggan each had nine points in the opening 20 minutes for Oklahoma State.

The Cowboys also shot a sizzling 60.7 percent in the first half and forced 12 turnovers.

Smith was the Roadrunners leading scorer at halftime with 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the floor.

Oklahoma State continued to cruise in the second half and outscored Texas-San Antonio 42-23 over the final 20 minutes.
