NCAA Game Summary - Boise State Vs. Utah State

Las Cruces, NM -- (Sports Network) - Reggie Larry and Matt Bauscher each tallied 23 points, as the fourth-seeded Boise State Broncos knocked off the top-seeded Utah State Aggies, 88-78, in the semifinal round of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament at the Pan American Center. Larry went 7-of-11 from the floor and grabbed six boards, while Bauscher drained 5-of-6 three-pointers. Tyler Tiedeman and Aaron Garner netted 14 points apiece for the Broncos (24-8), who move on to the finals against the New Mexico State on Saturday. Jaycee Carroll guided the Aggies (24-10) in the setback with 20 points and five rebounds. He also made good on 6-of-12 three-pointers. Stephen DuCharme posted 17 points and seven rebounds, and Tyler Newbold had 16 points on 4-of-6 long range shots. Gary Wilkinson contributed 12 points and seven rebounds, as Utah State lost the game that mattered after sweeping a pair of meetings from Boise State during the regular-season. Boise State drilled 7-of-15 shots from beyond the arc and used a late 14-4 run in the first half to open a 42-37 lead at the break. In the second stanza, the Broncos shot 51.9 percent from the field and went 14-of-18 at the foul line to secure the 10-point victory. Boise State, which is back in the finals for the first time since losing to Texas-El Paso in 2005, converted 11-of-21 chances from three-point range and 21-of-26 at the charity stripe in the game.
