NCAA Game Summary - UNC Greensboro 60, Western Carolina 55

Greensboro, NC -- (Sports Network) - Kyle Hines had 17 points and eight rebounds to lead the UNC Greensboro Spartans to a 60-55 triumph over the Western Carolina Catamounts in Southern Conference play. Kevin Oleksiak posted 14 points, including the 1000th point of his career, for UNC Greensboro (18-11, 12-8 SoCon). Jake Robinson tallied 19 points in the setback for Western Carolina (10-20, 6-14). Arnold Gore contributed 12 points for the Catamounts, who got 11 points from Richie Gordon on 5-of-5 shooting from the floor. As for Negus McKenna, he ripped down 12 rebounds. UNC Greensboro shot a lowly 26.3 percent from the floor in the first half, and Western Carolina led 25-21 at intermission. The Spartans finally got it going offensively in the second half, as they nailed 58.3 percent of their field goal attempts over the final 20 minutes to claim the victory. A 16-6 edge in points from the foul line helped UNC-Greensboro overcome a 35-26 rebounding disadvantage.
