Laramie, WY -- (Sports Network) - In Wyoming's home finale at Arena Auditorium, Brad Jones led four Cowboys in double-digits with 20 points in a 72-64 victory over the Utah Running' Utes in Mountain West Conference action. Wyoming (12-16, 5-10 MWC) pulled off a season sweep of its conference opponent, as Joseph Taylor and Tyson Johnson recorded 12 points and six rebounds apiece. Brandon Ewing also got involved with 14 points and five assists in the win. The Running' Utes (15-12, 6-8) dropped their fourth straight contest. Luke Nevill poured in a game-high 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the floor, while Johnnie Bryant and Luka Drca chipped in 15 and 12 points, respectively. The Cowboys took a 28-24 lead into the locker room, as Utah didn't knock down a three-pointer in eight attempts in the opening frame while Wyoming hit 9-of-10 from the charity stripe. The Cowboys maintained the lead throughout the entire second half, as their 54.5 percent shooting from the floor and perfect 17-for-17 effort from the free-throw line secured the eight-point conquest. While both teams connected on 44 percent from the floor, the Cowboys powered their way to 17 more free throw attempts, as their 26-of-27 efficiency from the stripe proved to be the difference in the decision.
