NCAA Game Summary - Idaho At San Diego State

(Sports Network) - Ryan Lindley had a tremendous performance for San Diego State, as the quarterback threw for 433 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Aztecs to a 45-17 victory over the Idaho Vandals in a non-conference battle at Qualcomm Stadium.

Vincent Brown grabbed eight passes for SDSU (1-3), finishing the game with 183 yards and three touchdowns. Atiyyah Henderson led the way on the ground, rushing for 100 yards and two scores on 21 carries.

As for Idaho (1-4), the team was paced by Prince McCarty, who rushed for 82 yards and one touchdown on 12 attempts. Nathan Enderle struggled under center, throwing for only 112 yards on 11-of-26 passing. The quarterback was also sacked twice and tossed two interceptions.

The Aztecs struck first, as Henderson rumbled into the end zone on a three- yard run midway through the first quarter.

SDSU pushed its led to 10-0 with a 26-yard field goal by Lane Yoshida early in the second stanza.

Lindley and Brown extended the Aztecs' lead to 24-0, as the two hooked up for touchdowns of 41 and 48 yards.

The Vandals finally found the scoreboard late in the second stanza when Tino Amancio nailed a 28-yard kick.

Midway through the third quarter the Aztecs continued their offensive dominance, as Lindley connected with Brown once again, this score coming from 51 yards out, while pushing SDSU's lead to 31-3.

The points kept coming for the Aztecs, as Henderson scored on a four-yard run late in the third quarter.

Idaho cut its deficit to 38-10 early in the fourth quarter with a two-yard run by Troy Vital.

Less than two minutes later Lindley hit Brandon Sullivan with a 45-yard touchdown pass to put the Aztecs back up by 35 points.

On their next possession the Vandals used a 12-yard touchdown run by McCarty, but it was far too late for Idaho to make a legitimate comeback, as the team eventually fell by a 45-17 score.
