Ole Miss Loses DT To Surgery

Tuesday, July 29, 2008

(Sports Network) - Ole Miss sophomore defensive tackle Ted Laurent underwent arthroscopic knee surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee, the team announced Tuesday.

"We hated the injury happed to Ted, but we're glad the surgery has fixed the problem," Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt said. "We can't wait to have him back on the field with us."

The 6-foot, 303-pounder saw action in seven games as a true freshman last season and was expected to start at nose tackle this season for the Rebels. There is no set timetable for his return.
