(Sports Network) - Jevan Snead threw for 185 yards and had two touchdown passes to guide the Ole Miss Rebels to a 41-24 victory over the Memphis Tigers at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

Brandon Bolden gained 76 yards on the ground with a touchdown, while Dexter McCluster collected 125 total yards and a score in the Ole Miss (1-0) victory. Shay Hodge made the most of his two catches, amassing 79 yards and two touchdowns for the Rebels.

Quarterback Will Hudgens completed 8-of-15 attempts for 102 yards and two touchdowns to lead Memphis (0-1), in addition to 27 yards rushing and a score in the losing effort. Arkelon Hall also saw time under center and he threw for 159 yards and an interception on 15-of-27 throws.

Snead found Hodge for a 64-yard score midway through the first quarter to give the Rebels a 7-0 lead.

The Tigers responded late in the period, tying the contest at seven apiece on a three-yard strike from Hudgens to Earnest Williams.

McCluster helped the Rebels regain the lead in the frame's closing minute, however, scoring on a 32-yard run.

A one-yard plunge from Enrique Davis midway through the second stanza increased the Ole Miss lead, 21-7.

Joshua Shene tacked on field goals from 26 and 47 yards out with under two minutes remaining in the half to give the Rebels a 27-7 advantage.

Matt Reagan got the Tigers on the board again as time expired in the frame with a 39-yard kick.

Snead increased the Rebels lead to 34-10 midway through the third period with a 15-yard pass to Hodge.

Hudgens completed a 43-yard pass to Maurice Jones early in the fourth quarter, a score that brought the contest to 34-17.

The Rebels, though, responded minutes later, as Bolden scored on a 10-yard run to pad a 41-17 lead.

Hudgens added to the Memphis total late in the game with a one-yard plunge that accounted for the final score of the contest, 41-24.
