Norfolk State Hires New Football Coach

Wednesday, January 19, 2005

Norfolk State has named Pete Adrian its new head football coach.

Adrian had spent the past seven seasons as the defensive coordinator at Bethune-Cookman. His only previous head coaching experience at the collegiate level came at Bloomsburg University from 1986-92.

Norfolk State needed a replacement for Willie Gillus, who was fired on December 4 after two seasons. The Spartans were just 2-19 during his tenure, including 1-8 this past season.
