NCAA Game Summary - Penn State At Temple

Philadelphia, PA -- (Sports Network) - Tailback Rodney Kinlaw rushed for a career-high 168 yards and a touchdown to lead the Penn State Nittany Lions to a 31-0 win over the Temple Owls in non-conference action at Lincoln Financial Field. Quarterback Anthony Morelli also had a big day for the Nittany Lions (8-3), completing 22-of-33 pass attempts for 260 yards and three touchdowns. Derrick Williams was Morelli's favorite target, hauling in seven passes for 104 yards. Temple (3-7) was led by signal caller Vaughan Charlton, who completed 26-of-43 passes for 238 yards. Penn State jumped out to an early 7-0 lead when Morelli found wide out Jordan Norwood from 15 yards out for the score. Norwood and Morelli hooked up again minutes later, this time from 22 yards out, giving Penn State a 14-0 lead. After a staggering display from the Penn State offense in the second quarter, kicker Kevin Kelly was able to give the Nittany Lions a 17-0 lead with a 32- yard field goal in the closing seconds of the first half. Penn State would not crack the scoreboard again until the fourth quarter, when Kinlaw burst off tackle for a 10-yard score. Morelli put the finishing touches on the win, finding Deon Butler from 14 yards out to seal the 31-0 win.
